Radon gas is odorless, colorless, and tasteless and can only be detected through testing. Take life-saving measures to ensure the safety of yourself and your loved ones with a radon test at least every two years. Radon levels present in your home can fluctuate due to numerous factors, and staying up to date on testing is imperative to the environmental health of your home.

A radon result must be 4.0 pCi/L or under to pass in the state of New Jersey. Although the US EPA states 4.0 pCi/L is the maximum level, there is truly no safe level of radon. Radon at any level can still pose adverse health risks.
RAdata offers two types of radon tests, a passive test and an active radon monitor. A passive test is the most commonly used test as it is reliable and accurate. A passive test should be exposed for 48 to 144 hours. An active radon monitor is used in more difficult to track radon situations. It also tests for pressure and humidity which allows us to see if the radon test results have been altered by human intervention. Our radon tests detect low levels of radon at <0.2 pCi/L and can be purchased online.

Treating the radon in your home is cost-effective and easy when working with RAdata. Our specialists will put together a plan for an active mitigation system with your home in mind.
Some companies will suggest sealing your home as a solution for radon. RAdata, as well as, the US EPA recommend against sealing as a complete plan. Sealing can be a component of reducing radon but cannot effectively remediate radon on its own.
Our specialists design our mitigation systems to enhance rather than detract from the look of your home. Our systems are comprised of a hose that vents radon out of the home with the help of a fan, through a small hole in the floor of the basement. The sub-slab depressurization system can also be installed in the crawl space of a home.
