LIQUID BOOT Spray Applied Gas Vapor Barrier

LIQUID BOOT® is the industry standard in gas vapor membrane technology and is designed to eliminate vapor intrusion into structures built on Brownfields or any other contaminated sites, i.e. former landfills and manufacturing facilities, former dry cleaners and gas station sites, etc.

LIQUID BOOT® is chemically resistant and seals all vapor intrusion pathways, preventing contaminated soil vapors from penetrating the slab. LIQUID BOOT® offers protection from gases generated from methane, VOCs, petroleum hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents, among others. Over 50 million square feet of LIQUID BOOT® has been installed under Hospitals, Schools, Libraries, High-rise Commercial and Residential Buildings, Single Family Housing Developments, and Major Public Works Projects throughout the United States, Canada, and Asia.

LIQUID BOOT® Gas Vapor Barrier System Liquid Boot is a cold, spray-applied, water-based membrane containing no VOCs, which provides a seamless, impermeable barrier against vapor intrusion into structures. Liquid Boot is sprayed directly onto penetrations, footings, grade beams, pile caps, etc., providing a fully-adhered and seamless membrane. Especially if your foundation is complex, this spray-applied option is the best choice for your project.

LIQUID BOOT Ultradrain™ 6200 Drainage Material

UltraDrain™ 6200 is a drainage and protection course specially designed for vertical wall Liquid Boot® applications and is installed directly over the finished Liquid Boot® vapor intrusion barrier, providing superior drainage and protection to the membrane. A moderate duty polymeric sheet is cuspated under heat and pressure to form a high flow dimpled drainage core. The core is then bonded to a layer of non-woven filter fabric. The filter fabric retains soil or sand particles as well as freshly placed concrete or grout, allowing filtered water to pass into the drainage core.

UltraDrain 6200 also has a protection sheet bonded to the backside of the cuspated core providing protection for soft membrane barrier systems.

Geovent is a three-dimensional vent core wrapped in a non-woven, needle punched filter fabric and is designed for active or passive venting when used with CETCO vapor intrusion mitigation systems. GEOVENT End Outlets are available for use in conjunction with GEOVENT active/passive gas venting systems. GeoVent™ allows for ease of installation directly on the subgrade, eliminating the need for costly and labor-intensive trenching.

LIQUID BOOT VI-20™ Geomembrane

VI-20™ is a 20-mil, 7-layer co-extruded geomembrane made using high quality virgin-grade polyethylene and EVOH resins that provide unmatched impact strength as well as superior resistance to VOC vapor transmission. EVOH technology serves as a highly resilient underslab and vertical wall barrier designed to restrict methane, radon and other harmful chemicals. VI-20™ is specially designed for use as a VOC barrier when used in conjunction with Liquid Boot® spray-applied vapor intrusion membrane to minimize vapor intrusion and nuisance water (non-hydrostatic conditions) migration into buildings. VI-20™ is ideal for applications with chlorinated solvents, BTEX and other PAHs.

TREMCO TREMPROOF® 260 Spray Applied Waterproofing Membrane

  • Spray applied Waterproofing membrane (polymer enhanced, single component, asphalt emulsion below-grade membrane.
  • Typical uses include foundation walls, retaining walls, and most backfilled applications.
  • TREMproof 260 is also designed for use in Methane Barrier applications.
  • Fully adhered waterproofing membrane can be applied to damp or green concrete allowing application to continue sooner after the removal of forms or following wet weather.

Raven VAPORBLOCK® 10,15, 20 mil Vapor Barriers (includes Plus and Green)

Vapor retarders save time, money and energy by reducing moisture migration under concrete slabs and foundations, and through inner walls and ceilings. We have a wide variety of vapor retarder products to choose from that are readily available.

VAPORBLOCK® high performance vapor barriers/retarders are produced from state-of-the-art resins providing superior physical and performance properties that exceed all the stringent requirements of ASTM E-1745, Class A, B & C. VaporBlock is available in 10 mil and 15 mil thickness. Vaporblock, Vapor Bond seaming tape, and VaporBoot pipe boot kits provide a complete and thorough system to protect against moisture migration.

VAPORBLOCK® PLUS™ 20 is a seven-layer co-extruded barrier made from state-of-the-art polyethylene and EVOH resins to provide unmatched impact strength as well as superior resistance to gas and moisture transmission. VaporBlock® Plus™ 20 is a highly resilient underslab / vertical wall barrier designed to restrict naturally occurring gases such as radon and/or methane from migrating through the ground and concrete slab. VaporBlock® Plus™ 20 is more than 100 times less permeable than typical high-performance polyethylene vapor retarders against Methane, Radon and other harmful VOCs.

VAPORBLOCK® G™ (Green) is an innovative under concrete slab vapor barrier produced with a layer of post-consumer recycled content. VaporBlock G is the first vapor barrier on the market to exceed ASTM E1745-11, Class "A", and qualify under the LEED Building Design and Construction 2009 Edition, Materials and Resources, Credit 4 (Recycled Content) for 1 LEED point. We have worked closely with customers and building design professionals to meet the need for a recycled product that contributes to higher project LEED points. VaporBlock G is produced by co-extruding state-of-the-art resins into the outer layers and adding post-consumer recycled content to the core. VaporBlock G is an addition to our proven VaporBlock® series of high performance vapor barriers and gas/moisture barriers.

LAND SCIENCE GEOSEAL® Spray Applied Vapor Barrier

Geo-Seal is an advanced composite vapor intrusion barrier system designed to eliminate potential indoor air quality health risks associated with subsurface contaminant vapor intrusion. Geo-Seal can be used on Brownfields or any type of environmentally impaired site. The triple layer system used in Geo-Seal provides maximum redundancy and protection against the formation of vapor pathways both during and after installation and provides protection from a range of contaminant vapors including those from petroleum based products and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Geo-Seal can be installed without the use of tents and artificial heat when the ambient air is 25°F and above.


STEGO® Wrap 10 mil & 15 mil Vapor Barriers

Stego Wrap Vapor Barrier is a low permeance under-slab vapor barrier engineered to exceed ASTM E 1745 Class A Standards and provide long-term moisture vapor protection. Stego Wrap Vapor Barrier is a multi-layer plastic extrusion manufactured with only high grade prime, virgin, polyolefin resins and can be used in systems for the control of soil gases (radon, methane), soil poisons (oil by-products) and sulfates.

ENKAVENT® Radon & Moisture Control Matting

Enkavent is a radon venting product manufactured to mitigate (lessen) radon gas with the added benefit of a moisture evacuation path. Enkavent provides an airspace that intercepts radon before it seeps into the basement, crawlspace, or through the slab.

Enkavent matting is a 0.8-inch high matrix of nylon filaments point-bonded to a polyester filter fabric. 95% of this geomatrix is airspace, which means radon has room to flow in every direction. Enkavent is also stiff. It can stand up to concrete without compressing, but it’s lightweight enough for easy handling. The Enkavent system allows the radon to flow through the filter fabric and into the airspace created by the nylon matrix. This airspace doesn’t clog because the filter fabric restrains the underlying gravel and soil. The natural airflow through the Enkavent matting then channels the radon to pipe openings. From there, the gas is routed outdoors as necessary. If high radon levels persist, inline fans can easily be installed to increase airflow.
