Mitigation

Our Mitigation Department can help schedule your system installation, talk through questions about maintaining your existing radon or water treatment, and provide details about what will happen the day of your appointment.

Mitigation Technicians

RAdata installation and service technicians are fully trained and certified in radon and/or water treatment. We also have an on-staff Master Electrician and Master Plumber ready to perform or assist with any job.

Estimators / Specialists

RAdata Radon and Water Specialists assess the age and characteristics of a home that contribute to radon entry or water contamination and design a custom mitigation plan for each home.

Testing

Our Testing Department will help you understand your radon and drinking water testing needs and can quickly schedule to accommodate closing deadlines. There are over 500 municipalities in New Jersey, let us keep track of specific County and Local testing requirements so you don’t have to!

Testing Technicians

RAdata testing technicians are certified field technicians who are fully trained in both radon testing and water sample collection. Our technicians are friendly, efficient, mindful of your home, and can answer any questions you might have while we’re on site.

Radon Lab

Our trained and certified laboratory staff analyzes all returned radon test devices and creates accurate and reliable reports. The lab also fills orders for radon test devices for Home Inspectors, Radon Professionals, and Local and State Health Departments.  The Radon Lab maintains NJDEP, NRPP, and OQA certification for laboratory services.

Water Lab

The water lab processes and analyzes drinking water samples. We utilize state of the art equipment with fast turnaround times. The Water Lab maintains NJDEP and OQA certification for laboratory services.

Front Office / Accounting

Our friendly office staff is ready to answer your call and direct you to the proper department to meet your needs. The accounting department processes each job folder and can assist with all of your billing questions.

One test canister is needed per 2,000 square feet of each foundation, and one additional test device for each additional foundation in the building. For example, if you have a basement and a crawlspace, you will want two radon test canisters - one for the basement, and one for the room above the crawlspace.
The minimum time needed to complete a radon test is 48 hours. Please note that this is test exposure time only. The test will need to be returned to the lab for analysis; consider possible transit times when mailing urgent tests.
As outlined in the Radon Test Instructions, test kits should be exposed for a period of 2 to 6 days (minimum of 48 hours to a maximum of 144 hours TO THE HOUR).
RAdata test kits received before 12 noon on any weekday will be analyzed and reported the same day they are received. Test reports are mailed out the following business day. Please note that test kits must be closed for 3 hours after the stop time before they can be analyzed by the lab.
Self-service radon test kits can only be performed by the owner of the home being tested and cannot be used for a real estate transaction.
Appointments are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis; typically, we can schedule your test within 3-5 business days of your call.
The test kit expires one year after its shipment date. If you have recently had a radon system installed, you should use the re-test as soon as practical (between 24 hours - 30 days after the installation).
It depends on the receipt date of your radon test. If the test is received on a business day prior to 12 noon, it will be analyzed and reported the same day. Please note that if a Home Inspector conducted your test, the report is provided to the Home Inspector and RAdata cannot release it directly to anyone else.

The results are valid for 1 year from date of the sample; bacteria is required to be resampled after 6 months.
You will receive a separate email directly from the water lab containing your test results once they are processed and approved by our laboratory manager.
