Below is a brief list of contaminants that are tested for by RAdata's
well water test. Many of these contaminants are required to be tested by the Prive Well Testing Act. For more

Coliform (E. coli)

Effects:

Stomachaches, vomiting, cramps, and other gastrointestinal ills.

|
Some types of bacteria, E. coli or fecal coliform, are rare but can be lethal.

|
Effects:
|
Infants who drink water containing nitrates could become seriously ill and, if untreated, die.

Nitrates block a young child's ability to absorb oxygen into the blood causing "blue baby" syndrome.

Iron
|
Effects:
|
Iron is not considered a health risk in drinking water. However it can stain hair and clothing and leave green rings in the sink and tubs.

Manganese
|
Effects:
|
Manganese is generally not considered a health problem in drinking water. It is more of an aesthetic issue because it causes brownish water and stains clothing and bathtubs.

Low pH water is acidic and could eat away at the plumbing system, leaching metals such as lead or copper in the plumbing into the drinking water.
